hi! i'm elena.

i build + invest at regen [regen.vc], where we back teams building resonant technologies across intelligence, robotics, biology, and energy. as part of my contribution, i lead our research and editorial work and get to meet people who remind me i know nothing every day. if that's you, please say gday!

before regen, i was at uc berkeley learning about economics and environmental design. after graduating, i decided clouds and physics were pretty cool too, and went off to complete a postgrad degree studying climate science at columbia university.

i currently live in the northern rivers of new south wales, where i keep chickens and a kelpie, do my best to surf every day, and am slowly winning a war of attrition against my 1983 toyota hilux, theseus's pickup. i like to write, make things with my hands, and chronically ask the question why.
